Ignite the Depths Announced — Dark Fantasy Co-Op Dungeon Crawler Coming to PC
Seattle indie studio SK Studios revealed Ignite the Depths, a co-op dungeon crawler for up to four players across three hand-crafted dimensions, targeting a Q3 2026 release on Steam.
What happened
SK Studios, a three-person Seattle-based indie team, announced Ignite the Depths alongside an official reveal trailer. The game is a first-person, cooperative hack-and-slash dungeon crawler set in a sprawling, hand-crafted labyrinth called the Abyss.
Key details
•Developer: SK Studios · Publisher: Ytopia
•Platform: PC (Steam)
•Target window: Q3 2026
•Solo play or co-op for up to 4 players
•Three hand-crafted dimensions, each ending in a raid-inspired boss fight
•Four classes, each with its own abilities and team role
•A crafting/upgrade loop built around resources spent at "Pickle and Po's" shop
•Playtests planned ahead of launch
What this means for players
"We wanted to recreate the feeling of tackling MMO-style dungeons with a close group of friends without the long grind that usually entails," said SK Studios' Marcus Klammt. "We hope players will still get the satisfaction of crafting and upgrading their class in preparation for these set pieces." The pitch throughout every early preview and social post has been co-op-first: no forced PvP, no extraction-style ganking — just a party against the dungeon.
What's still unknown
SK Studios had not yet published official names for the four classes at announcement — early creator previews and coverage described them informally as a melee frontliner, a defensive tank, a ranged mage, and a healer/support. Update: the September 2026 playtest confirmed the real names — Warrior, Guardian, Pyromancer, and Priest. See our playtest coverage below and the current class pages for the confirmed roster.
