Ignite the Depths Playtest Patch 1.02
A same-day follow-up patch gives Pyromancer passive mana regen, fixes Skeleton Warrior shield-break hitboxes, buffs Priest's bow, adds toggle crouch, and closes out nearly every fixable bug reported during the playtest so far.
What happened
Hours after Patch 1.01, SK Studios pushed Patch 1.02, described as clearing out "near all the issues reported that are fixable in a relatively short amount of time." The studio said a follow-up post covering bigger changes under consideration for launch would come once the playtest wraps.
Combat & balance
•Pyromancer now has passive mana regeneration, on top of the mana orbs earned by hitting enemies with spells
•Increased coyote time for all classes
•Buffed Priest's bow
•Adjusted enemy health across all player-count scales
•Fixed hit registration issues affecting all enemies
•Fixed Skeleton Warrior hitboxes failing when its shield breaks
•Fixed a bug tied to the bow and upgrading Haste
Bug fixes & QOL
•Fixed sensitivity not saving while in-game
•Added toggle crouch
•Addressed several mantling/parkour inconsistencies
•Fixed interaction keybind not working
•Fixed block sound effects repeating when opening the menu
•Fixed a crash when two players hit a destructible object at the same time
•Fixed numerous collision issues
What this means for players
This is the fastest back-to-back patch cadence SK Studios has shown so far — two balance-and-bugfix passes in about 24 hours during an open playtest is a good sign for a small team's responsiveness. The coyote-time increase directly answers one of the most common creator complaints from the playtest's first day: inconsistent jump timing during parkour sections. We'll cover the promised post-playtest "big changes" writeup once it's out.
